Day 11

I bet you all thought I would have given up by now especially with the bloodhound chase incident on DAY THREE. Nope. I’m still going!

Now I know I said last week that I would not go to the track on Tuesday because it’s maintenance day but I woke up and said to myself “Screw that, I’m going.” Ok, that’s not exactly what I said but I told you I’m going to watch my language.

BabyGenius did not join me today and I’m kind of annoyed that he had me go out and buy him some running sneakers so he could “STAY IN THE BED” each morning.  It’s ok. He’s going to regret not running with me when football camp starts and he’s not as in shape as he would have been if he had run with me.

Today was good. I walked/ran all six laps and I can definitely see that I am getting better. I’m running more and walking less and I don’t feel like passing out on my way back to my truck. My calves no longer hurt at all. I am definitely ready to add that seventh lap. I can’t wait until next Monday. I brought the fancy Inspector Gadget watch but I couldn’t figure out how to restart the steps or use the stopwatch function. I really have to sit down with the manual and figure that out today. Yes, I said MANUAL. The watch came with an encyclopedia of how to use it and of course I thought I could figure it out without said manual. NOT. I now have to figure out how to keep track of my exact time before tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Daisy and her fanny pack wasn’t there today. I never got my own fanny pack yesterday like I said I would. Where would one purchase a fanny pack anyway? Would I have to time travel back to 1993 to get one? If any of you know where I could get one, hook a sister up.

The maintenance men weren’t there today either. I had the track to myself.  It was nice.  I could sing to my music out loud whilst running and break into a dance move on a good song if I so desired.  Lol. That “dancing” part never happened but the fact that I could do so if I wanted was nice.

I really hope that I inspired some of you to not train for a marathon. I can’t tell you all how good I feel. It’s definitely what was missing in my life. Running gives you such a natural high. Even if you can only run for a short distance, it gives you such a rush.

Well, I have to get ready for my day.  Enjoy yours!

Ms. P.
