So I took the day off today even though technically I still
walked/ran because I walked/ran Sara around the neighborhood for about 20
minutes. I’m training her to jog along side me. It’s working out pretty good
except when we see another dog. She then starts jumping, pulling and trying to
get to them. She’s not really aggressive.
She just wants to get over to them to see what they are about. Most of
the dogs we encounter are older and couldn’t be so bothered with her. I have to
work on teaching her to keep it moving.
We can’t stop and socialize every time she sees a dog. That would really
mess up our morning runs. I also have to work on her trying to sprint when she’s ready. I need her to remember that
I’m an older woman. I can’t just go sprinting all willy-nilly and out of the
blue. She has to let me warm up first or she’ll end up a rescue dog. “What did
you say girl? Ms. P’s in the well?”
Anyway, I’m glad I took the morning off at the track because
it’s starting to rain. As much as I enjoyed walking/running in the rain on DAY 21, I’m really wasn’t up to it
today. I hung out with my friends on Krupt Mob Radio last night and I’m a
little tired. They had me stay up until 12:30 playing music for them
which I enjoyed tremendously. Then I decided to watch television until I fell
asleep around 3:00 am. I woke up at 5:00 am for absolutely no reason at all. I
was not in any condition to get up and run/walk in the rain today. That
requires a full night’s sleep.
I know tomorrow I will be well rested and maybe I’ll skim
another minute or two off of my walk/run time. I notice when I take a day off,
my endurance seems to be a little better than when I do a few consecutives days
on the track.
Well my friends until tomorrow…
Ms. P.
