Day Four
Well, Day Four
worked out well. It was definitely not as eventful as DAY THREE and I can say I am HAPPY to report that. It started with
me getting up at 6 am as I normally do. I know I told you all that today I
would walk/jog on the treadmill in the exercise room in my basement but when
the lady on the news said that it would possibly rain tomorrow, I decided I
would save the basement workout for DAY
FIVE.
I got up, got myself together and headed to the track about
an hour earlier than I had previously gone the days before. I did not bother
waking BabyGenius because after I had told him about the incident with the dog
chase, he seemed less enthusiastic about being my running partner. He did ask
me why didn’t I use what I had learned from "The Dog Whisperer" and smirked
whilst asking. My only response was
laughter. I wanted to say to him “Damn all that!” but I only laughed.
Anyway, I got to the track and to my surprise there was no
Daisy. However, there was a familiar face. Yesterday, I had told my tenant
about my journey to not train for a marathon and she decided to join me! Wow! I
have my first official follower! Well, I may have more but no one commented on
this blog to say they were joining me so I can’t count you if I don’t know
about you. Did I just say tenant? If
anyone from the Town of Islip is reading, I meant my cousin who’s only visiting
for a while. Yeah, that’s it.
Ok, I just get off topic again huh? I will not apologize
because I warned you before that I tend to do that. As I stated, today went well. I did the 6 laps
as I had done yesterday but today for some reason my calves started hurting on
the 4th lap so I was only able to run for part of only 3 laps. I
jogged a little on the 1st, 2nd and 6th lap. I wasn’t really tired. It was just that my
calves were aching. I think I may need a day off. I’m just afraid that if I take a day off,
then that may be the end. No more
jogging. No more blogging. THE END. Maybe I will take off tomorrow which is the
4th of July. I doubt it. I’ll probably just ride my stationery bike
for 45 minutes instead. We’ll see. I do know
that yesterday I had a break in between laps while I waited for Lazy Laura to
gather up her bloodhounds. That can possibly be the difference between today
and yesterday. Maybe I should get Lazy Laura to let loose Marmaduke on my last
two laps so I can get my sprint on. J
Well, that was DAY
FOUR. I will check in with you all tomorrow. Oh, by the way can someone
remind me that Tuesdays are maintenance day on the track field? Not that anyone
was in my way but I can say that it was a little uncomfortable walking off the
track in tight spandex, wet with sweat and all this booty past a group of
ethnic men. No one said anything but I could feel their gazes as they stopped
EVERYTHING they were doing when I walked by and one even winked at me. The nerve!
I’d rather not do that again. That was almost worse than running from the dogs. I felt like I was walking in slow motion. Had my calves not been bothering
me, I would have jogged to my car, which would have probably been great for
them as running would have caused bouncing boobs and booty but at least the
moment wouldn’t have been as long. With all that said, remind me to run on the
treadmill on Tuesdays from now on. Please and thank you!
Ms. P.
