All I want to say right now is that alcohol is the DEVIL!
I’m officially done with it until I reach my goal to run (not walk any portion)
of two whole miles. I don’t know what made me think I could run/walk 5k this
morning after drinking sangria last night.
I woke up on time but I could tell right away that it was
not going to be a record-breaking run/walk day. I wasn’t tired and I didn’t
have a hangover because I only had two glasses of sangria (which consisted of
mostly ice) but I still wasn’t 100% so I figured I’d just go to the track and
walk. I didn’t run at all. I walked just over two miles and came home to
prepare for my busy schedule.
I want to say that at least I got up and did something today
but that’s just a silly cliché remark that lazy people say to feel better about
halfway exercise routines. I know one thing, even though I won’t have time to barely
breathe during these next two days, I will make sure that I get enough rest and
hydration so that I can stay on my 5k game.
I am not allowing myself to backslide into that 2 mile range any more. Thank
goodness a birthday comes only once a year. My word!
Until tomorrow…
Ms. P.
