Great morning everyone! Today’s walk/run was wonderful. I
had plenty of energy and considering it was threatening to rain, there was a
really nice breeze. I ran/walked a total of 3.34 miles today (more than the 5K my friend R.S. wants me to do).
I hopped out of the bed like I was in the military and was
downstairs by 0-six-hundred-hours. Actually it was more like 6:13 but that
didn’t sound so military-ish. I fed the puppies and played with them for a little while.
They are getting so big. Sara is officially 4 months now and Jane is 5. They’ll
be able to join me on my three mile runs in no time. I may only be able to run with one of them at a time because all they do is play fight every few minutes. Talk about unfocused. I can't have them distracting my running groove. Another possibility is that I do three miles alone and then come back and run with them for an additional mile. Thank goodness they are not ready yet because I'm sure not.
Anyway, as I said today's run was great. I got a good night's sleep and there was no alcohol in my system. You know what else made my run so magnificent today? I got
myself a real fanny pack. Yes I did. And it was the best running equipment I
got thus far, aside from my running sneakers. Can I tell you my keys and phone
fit neatly inside and I was able to easily access my phone whilst running in order to
change songs. Why did I wait so long to get one? Oh I know why. Listening to
everybody tell me how silly they look. They do in fact look silly but they are
hell-ah helpful. I’d rather look silly for 3 miles than to drop a $500 Iphone
out of my pocket whilst running. Can I get a witness? I know one thing, I'm really am starting to look just like the people I use to laugh at running on the side of the road with all the extra running gear. The only thing I'm missing are the neon colors. I'll save that until I start running on the side of the road so I can be visible to drivers passing by laughing at me. Until then, I won't go that far.
So I have an extremely busy day and I must get started on
it.
Until tomorrow…
Ms. P.
