Good morning. I figured I’d save the good morning for this
post since the last post was supposed to be for yesterday anyway. Today was a treadmill day. Not because it
rained out but because I decided to stay up all night long and I overslept. I
did not get out of bed until almost 7 am.
Those poor puppies would have messed themselves had my son not gotten up
and let them out.
Anyway by the time I got downstairs, fed the puppies and
played with them outside for a while, the sun was shining brightly in the sky
and I knew the track would be blazing. I decided to instead run on the
treadmill. Bad idea. I should have just taken my chances with the devil at the
track…
My mind wasn’t right at all this morning for the treadmill.
I could only run/walk 1.5 miles before I almost went insane from boredom. I
then rode the stationary bike for another two miles before giving up. I wasn’t
tired but my mind wasn’t able to handle too much more of all that work and
getting nowhere. I do believe that I got a really nice workout because I was
soaked with sweat after, but I know I could have easily done more. At least I
got a really good stretch afterwards. That’s one benefit of running/walking
downstairs in my workout room. Thinking ahead, I know I’m going to have a hard
time this winter if I can’t get to that track at least every other day. If I
have to run/walk on that treadmill each day for four to five months, I may have
to add some padding to the room for when I start banging my head against the
walls…
All in all it was a good workout. I feel great and the sun
is shining brightly outside so I’m going to enjoy it. I’m going to take my
puppies for a light jog down the block to make up for the 1.5 miles on the
treadmill. I’m going to take them one at a time though. Goodness knows I can’t
handle them both whilst running yet.
Until tomorrow…
Ms. Parker
