Good morning friends! It’s day 49 and it’s not a day off. Woohoo! I was afraid that I was starting to get into the habit of taking off every other
day and that nonsense had to stop. I did not however, go to the track today
because my mood did not feel like having to deal with insubordinate people and
their annoying dogs. I opted to fight the insanity from run/walking on the
treadmill in the comfort of my own home instead.
I have to admit it wasn’t that bad. I had the music going on
my portable Ipod player and I watched the news on my handy dandy Optimum T.V.
app on my Iphone. Both of which kept my mind from wandering too far into
boredom.
I did not run/walk the 5k on the treadmill today. I said
walking on the treadmill wasn’t that bad. I didn’t say it was a ride at an
amusement park. I did manage to run/walk two miles on the treadmill and rode
two miles on the bike. After that, I did a wonderful series of stretch exercises. I’m
happy to report that I am still just as flexible as I was 20 years ago. At least
that didn’t change. Now if I could just get my running back to where it was
back then, I’d be the happiest woman on the planet. I’m not concerned with
looking exactly the way I did 20 years ago because I do realize that will never
happen but I’m okay with that. I just want to be healthy and fit. My word! I
sound like a freaking wellness commercial…
In any event, I had a great workout today. I will probably
be back at the track tomorrow when my mood is better. I better remember to bring
some dog treats, a ball to toss and a pooper-scooper. You know the old
saying, “If you can’t beat them, join
them.” No, I will not be bringing my puppies to the track with me. I’m just going
to be prepared for the idiots that do. The evilness in me wishes that I could
throw a ball to the moon just so whoever’s dog shows up tomorrow runs right
after it. Does thinking of doing mean things make you evil or do you actually have to complete the act?
Anyway, until tomorrow…
Ms. P.
