Day 60

I wanted to take the day off and blame it on the rain but that would be ridiculous. I have a treadmill downstairs so there is absolutely no reason to blame the rain for my lack of exercise. Besides by the time I finished feeding the puppies and getting myself together, the rain had stopped. I couldn’t blame it on needing to rest because I have been only doing two and a half miles a day messing around with those puppies. There is no need to rest from WALKING the entire two and a half miles each day. I haven’t jogged with the puppies because they really need to get a good handle on the walking part before I try jogging. Like I explained before, as soon as I start jogging, they start sprinting and it gets a little hectic so I just walk briskly about the neighborhood with them. I know I need to get a 5k run/walk in ASAP. I haven’t done so since Day 56.

Today, I again walked the two and a half miles around the neighborhood with the puppies. I’m not happy that lately that is my only form of exercise each day. I haven’t really run since I last did the 5k four days ago. I should have ran/walked at least two miles this morning on the treadmill but my morning got away with me. I know one thing, come rain, shine or locusts, I will be doing 5k tomorrow whether it be on the track or on that darn treadmill it will be done. I miss running so much. The brisk two and a half mile walks are okay but I feel so much better when I run.

I’m happy to report that things are working out well in my personal life. I am slowly but surely removing excess drama and aggravation from my circle. Now if I could just get my daily runs in like I was doing when I originally started this blog, life would be what one could almost call perfect.

Wait—it’s officially two months now! Holy track shoes Batman! I actually made it to the two month mark and I am still sticking with it. I got so caught up in run/walking, I didn’t realize how time was flying. Next stop three months!

Until tomorrow…

Ms. P.

  1. Happy 2 months! You've done great so far and you have really turned yourself into a walking/jogging 5k monster! Keep up the great work, only you can hold yourself back. *high five* Oh and for old times sake here's a *Daisy fist pump* for you.
